The biggest week in video games and electronic entertainment returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center this summer by showcasing newly announced titles, as well as those currently in development. Running from June 11 through June 13, Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is a wonderland for video game developers and aficionados that gives an inside look on the projects publishers have been working on before they are officially announced.
Publishers and companies that are showcasing their work include: Microsoft, Nintendo of America, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, Ubisoft Entertainment, Activision, and
plenty of others.
While E3 still remains a trade show, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA)
decided to open the show to the public for the third time in a row based on a first come- first serve basis with gamer passes to allow those who wish to attend the ability to.
The ESA adjusted the hours for gamer passes to enter the convention center later on particular days for those in the Industry and Media can have early time on the show floor. Despite entering later, during the week, E3 Coliseum will bring fans in attendance and those watching through live streams closer to their favorite game creators with plenty of discussions; Geoff Keighley of the Game Awards will reprise
his role as the host.
Guests include: Jack Black & Jablinski Games, the critically acclaimed “Infinity Ward” team behind many of the “Call of Duty” games that will discuss the next installment in
the franchise, and many others that are to be announced as we approach the expo!
Last year, E3 Coliseum hosted actor Elijah Wood, a 20-year reunion with the cast of Grim Fandango, Oscar nominated filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, the creative team behind the critically acclaimed indie title “Cuphead” to name a few.
Gamer Passes can be purchased at E3-Expo.org for $249 in limited quantities, which will grant limited access to the show floor to demo video games, E3 Coliseum, purchase items and various activities.
Microsoft
Press Conference on Sunday June 9, 2019 at 1 PM PT at the Microsoft Theater
After hearing that Sony will not be hosting its usual presence at the iconic show this year, Microsoft doubles down on it’s presence this year at E3 after announcing numerous studios that will be working on various exclusives for Xbox. Having announced and teasing “Gears 5” and “Halo Infinite” last year, it is expected that Phil Spencer will be bringing the hype with those beloved titles at this year’s Press Conference and potentially attempt to win the crowd if they are to announce any new exclusives at this year’s briefing.
Square-Enix
Press Conference on Monday June 10, 2019 at 6 PM PT (Stream)
While there may be many unannounced titles that will be shown, the long awaited but fan favorite “Final Fantasy VII” (FFVII) remake is set to be the focal point of the Press Conference held by Square-Enix. Many fans are speculating that gameplay will be highlighted as well as showing the graphical power that the new engine that the 1997 title will be running on. While there is a possibility that the game may be released late this year, it is also likely the that FFVII may not hit the PlayStation 4 for at least another year.
PC Gaming Show

Few details have surfaced for this year’s PC Gaming show other than it will be featuring more unannounced games, trailers and new footage than ever before. Generally, new hardware in the PC industry is also showcased.
Bethesda Softworks

Taking a massive hit with backlash from their release of Fallout 76 in November 2018, BE3 may serve as a way to win their fans back with what they are planning, but have not announced, to show. With Rage 2 releasing very soon (before E3), we can expect Bethesda to give new information on “Wolfenstein: Young Blood” that releases not too long after E3 as well as a hint to their highly anticipated “The Elder Scrolls VI” which was announced at last year’s showcase. For those attending, Bethesda usually throws an after party with a surprise musical guest to kick off the festivities along with activities, drinks, and food.

Having a successful and fun-filled show last year with the “Just Dance” crew opening the show, it is expected that they showcase another epic performance that will display some of the licensed tracks that are going to be featured in their next “Just Dance” title. Also, “Ghost Recon” is making a comeback with their next installment “Breakpoint” being recently announced and is expected to be one of the highlights of Ubisoft’s Press Conference. Other titles that are expected to get updates are “Skull & Bones”, “Beyond Good and Evil 2”, and possible surprises that are yet to be announced.
Nintendo Press Conference on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 9 AM PT (Stream)
The Nintendo Switch has come a long way and it’s future shines bright with the support of third party developers and exclusive titles. Nintendo always has surprises up it’s sleeves and there are sure to be many during their live stream. But we should definitely be seeing updates on: “Super Mario Maker 2”, “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order”, “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” next Fighter pack, “Metroid Prime 4”, and hopefully “Bayonetta 3”. There have also been rumors about another Nintendo Switch model but we will just have to wait and see along with all the other surprises.
