What is the Con Artist?

The Con Artist was created by J. Aaron Delgado as a visionary for live updates on all things geeky in the most creative, yet simple, manner. We are devoted to bringing our readers news in gaming, film, television, animation, conventions, technology and everything else between the lines of nerdy and geeky. A Jack of all trades, so to speak. Based in Los Angeles, we come in great peace and information.

Our name originates from conventions, or Cons, which are fandom-based events like Comic-Con, which we grew up with and still attend for all fun's sake. Many of us at the Con Artist attend these events not only to cover them, but to have fun. You'll find us getting in on the experience with friends by attending panels or meeting our favorite voice actors, artist, developers and everyone else we look up to. Together, we create and share art in the form of photos or literature to inform you, putting the Art in Con Artist.

J. Aaron is the founder of The Con Artist and loves working for his creation with a passion. He loves attending conventions, reading comics, watching movies, playing videogames and all things geeky. Aaron is also a cosplayer and regularly attends conventions and nerdy themed events in cosplay; his favorite cosplay is Riot Gear Glenn from Season 4 of The Walking Dead. J. Aaron is also the Lead Photojournalist who covers events and conducts interviews with many con attendees and industry officials. Alongside doing nerdy things he also has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and does photography as a hobby at Conventions. Though it sounds like a lot of work, he finds the balance between business and fun.

Hector Cruz

Hector is an avid Graphic Designer with a passion for video games and e-sports. An all around multi-media artist, Hector is never short of a critical analysis and voicing a detailed opinion (sometimes a little too much.) He plans on someday working for Blizzard at their headquarters in Irvine as a Graphic Designer.

This red head is all about that nerd life. Melissa has a bachelors degree in journalism, which has her working full-time as a newspaper designer by day, but at night, she takes her passion to the Internet and streams as Melissa McFloppykins on Twitch. She currently has a variety stream of Xbox One games with a little Dungeons & Dragons sprinkled in. She is also a huge Playstation, Nintendo and tabletop fan. (Sorry, PC people.) Ryan Ordaz

Born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, Ryan currently works as a food representative at a company called Guckenheimer. Servicing people in varieties of food and cuisine, Ryan attends community college, East Los Angeles College, to achieve a degree in communications. Ryan had the opportunity to play an abundance of video games and watch amazing movies in his life. Reading anything that has to do with that also has him hooked. Video games have been always important to him ever since he was child, playing in a world's that can fascinate and have some sort resilient idea to it was such a beautiful idea to him. Movies have also been there a well; Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Rocky, The Terminator and Mission Impossible films are movies that he absolutely cherished when he was child. Ryan hopes to do the same for other people whilst he review any movie that is out today, as well as video games.
