Year by year, game developers find many ways to entice gamers to a new installment of their videogame, whether it be a sequel or a total new project. Hit or miss, a lof of development goes into the game and put on the market where gamers can purchase their creation. 2015 is a year where many videogames have been proved to a critically astounding year for gaming with continuing titles, such as Halo, and re-imaginations/reboots of games will be going toe to toe. We compiled a list of our top 5 picks which we think stood out the most and will be releasing as of June 2015.
5. Halo 5: Guardians

The long time series of Halo returns with the sequel directly following Halo 4 with Halo 5: Guardians. This sequel follows the story of Master Chief preceeding the events of Halo 4's campaign where Peace is shattered when colony worlds are unexpectedly attacked. But when humanity's greatest hero goes missing, a new Spartan is tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy. The story proves to be very immersive with the first person shooter perspective in both the legendary campaign and influential multiplayer experience. Being long time fans of the Halo series, this game is one to definitely look forward to playing later this year.
Halo 5: Guardians releases October 27, 2015 exclusively on Xbox One
4. Rainbow Six Siege

Another long running series is the first person shooter Rainbow Six with it's upcoming installment of Rainbow Six Siege. When the live demo at E3 2014 was shown, new audiences and long time fans were astounded by the tactical gameplay that was shown during the show. The game involves a Counter Strike like structure with two teams and obejctives; these objectives involve various cases, such as the hostage situation shown on the Ubisoft Press Conference at E3 2014, and extreme tactical teamwork. The integration of team work is what separates this videogame from any other game because one slight movement can change the final outcome of whether the operation is successful or messy. Being the attacker or defender makes the fact that there is a human player as the enemy strikes the operation much more of a challenge in team work. Because teamwork is such an important factor to any mission, the game offers different classes, or operators, which each have their own role and specialization.
Rainbow Six Siege is said to be released sometime in 2015 on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
3. Batman Arkham City

Even in the darkest alleys lie it's most villanous people in the city of Arkahm where Batman takes on his final battle in this action adventure videogame. Batman will face the greatest threat on the city he is sworn to protect, Arkham. With many of Gotham's iconic super villains uniting, such as The Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever and bringing him down with his city. The final installment introduces Rocksteady's aesthetically designed version of the Batmobile, being maneuverable for the first time in the franchise, that will add much more to the game experience than it already has. Aside from Batman, The Dark Knight's comrades join the battle aiding him in the fight for Arkham. These iconic sidekicks include Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, as well as Batgirl through DLC. It doesn't stop there, Pre ordering the game will also grant access to Harley Quinn being playable and Pre ordering at GameStop will also grant access to Red Hood-- each with their own DLC story packs. Batman: Arkham Knight offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
Batman Arkham Knight is set to release on June 23, 2015 on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
2. Star Wars Battlefront

Just like it's predecessor, EA plans to bring the best Star Wars experience to gamers with their take on the Star Wars Battlefront series with Battlefield developer Dice taking on the project. When the game was first teased at E3 2013, fans everywhere grew in excitement for the comeback of a long loved series that will be featured on next gen consoles. With the project recently revealing many details at Star Wars Celebration at their panel and experience, many features have been confirmed during the reveal and there are many more to be revealed soon, hopefully at E3. The team at Dice is devoted to bringing the best material they can by partnering with Lucas Arts in order to bring the original sounds, models, sets, and everything else that was used in the filming process to make the game as authentic as they can. The developers at Star Wars Celebration described the game being so authentic that the closest thing to seeing the extreme detail of Darth Vader's lightsaber is through the game or obtaining the actual prop used in the film. Being set in the original Star Wars trilogy, Players can fight for the Rebellion or Empire in a variety of multiplayer matches for up to 40 players, or in challenges inspired by the films available in solo, split-screen or through online co-op. With many features returning from the original Battlefront series, such as playable heroes, the nostalgia when playing this installment will definitely run deep. The game offers so much gameplay and service to fans of the original trilogy that the game would serve as a playground for gamers that love the Star Wars universe. Want to Pilot an X-Wing? That is made possible in this adaptation of the game.
Star Wars Battlefront will be in orbit on November 17, 2015 on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4
1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The long awaited game has recently faced some problems with the developing teams between Konami and Kojima Productions, with the recent cancellation Silent Hills, but the critically acclaimed videogame Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is in the green, free from cancellation. The game will follow the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the game's pre-quel, where Big Boss awakes from his coma after 9 years with a prosthetic arm due to the injuries and abrasions/burns after witnessing the destruction of his private army Militaires Sans Frontiéres' Mother Base. Snake is then contacted by Ocelot to save Master Kaz Miller in order to build their private army, under the alias of Diamond Dogs, once more in order to combat Cipher in Revenge. The game will deal with phantom pains, such that the theme would be relevant to pain, where the Diamond Dogs crew will be out with revenge fighting for no greater good or just cause. The story will immerse the play with a new breed of stealth that includes classic and new tactics with the use of gadgets, like the newly added phantom cigar to pass time between the day and night cycles, to accomplish the mission. Not only is the equipment that will be issued expansive, but the open world itself is claimed to be 200 times bigger than that of Ground Zeroes with Afghanistan and Africa worlds. Within these worlds will be bosses, which the series is notorious for with their creative characters, that the play will have to face but is avoidable. Single player campaign is only the beginning to the game when including the online capabilities that the game offers with friends being able to invade other friends' mother bases, allowing them to infiltrate their unique base and possibly capturing equipment stationed on their base. On the other hand, Metal Gear Online returns for it's third time around allowing players to go head to head with objective like game modes while one player from each team playing an official character, like Snake or Ocelot. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain arrives on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 on September 1, 2015 and PC on September 15, 2015.
