Tony Hawk's Pro Skater returns!

After a long hiatus that has been eight long years, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is finally getting a sequel that long time fans did not expect. Gameinformer has the first look on the next installment that will release later this year on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Playstation 4. The developer Robomodo, the same team that brought the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD remake to consoles and PC in 2012, is bringing the series back to it's roots along with new features, such as “a new set of levels packed with objectives and missions you can complete solo or with friends via online co-op and competitive play.”

The game will also let you create your own character which you can level up by gaining experience points online or offline. The inclusion of online gameplay will definitely let the player level up their character so they can go back offline to complete some of the challenges or objectives that they couldn't beat before with their experience with online challenges.

Of course this game would not be completely without the inclusion of Tony Hawk himself. Tony will be reprising his role in the game along with many other pro skaters including Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds.

There have been no confirmations of a story mode but the Skate Park creator will be making a return to the series as the series is known for. So you'll still be able to create those awesome, yet crazy, skate parks that we all have in the past THPS games. More details will roll out as we get closer to the end of the year, possibly a good amount of details at E3, but until then let us know how excited you are for the series return!
