Many eyebrows were raised by how impressive the Netflix original series Daredevil (2015) was since it's predecessor film that starred Ben Affleck. Like many other Netflix originals, Daredevil proved to live up to the hype that had been talked amongst it's fans. Since it's debut a week ago, the show had received extremely high ratings from critics and viewers around the globe, acclaiming it to be one of the best series of this year and age with it's cinematic action as well as the engaging plot. Due to this, the series has been renewed for a second season but with a twist.

Reported from EW: "Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus) is stepping down from the series. Instead, writers Doug Petrie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy)—who worked closely with DeKnight and creator Drew Goddard in the first season—will both serve as the showrunners for season two.

'While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch,' DeKnight said in a statement. 'They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward'". A change in writers can definitely bring a new tone to the plot and possibly up the quality of the series. While the series' current writer trusts the new minds of the show, it would be safe to speculate that the series will stay true to the writing and feel that the first season laid on the table.
