Do You Trust Alexandria? The Walking Dead S5E11 Review (SPOILERS)

Walking-Dead-Season-5-2.jpg

Rick and company have been through a long journey fighting through the vast woodlands of Atlanta Georgia to now 11 miles from Washington D.C. where they have been led by a new castmember and character named Aaron. The characters are internally battling whether to trust Aaron or not until Michonne stands up and challenges Rick to take a chance. This episode builds a lot of Michonne's character, showing how she has changed from her first appearance as pessimistic to current episode of becoming an optimist. This is clearly shown through, again, her challenging Rick into seeing hope on this new safe haven proposed by Aaron as the Alexandria Safe Zone. She further goes into this by using her instict to try Aaron's evidence of the safe zone, which they find out that he was following them two weeks before approaching them. Through their journey to Alexandria, the group battles through a blood bath, or a walker car wash, which puts their group at risk. Nevertheless, the group makes it through safely by eliminating the walkers and showing great special effects through the "Jack O' Lantern" walker kill. Once the group reaches the Alexandria gates, they hear sounds of kids playing over the walls. Though this episode was great in building up Michonne's character, there a lot of questions to be answered. Do you trust the Alexandria safe zone? What if those kids were just a recording to further convince Rick to give in to joining the community? We will find out this coming Sunday on the new episode of AMC's The Walking Dead.
